Miller and Carter

Being a foodie I will take any opportunity to go out and try out a new menu or restaurant.
Miller and Carter invited me down to visit their new restaurant near Bury in Manchester.
The restaurant is huge! It has a bar as you walk in with seating to the right, a really cute windowed champagne display that leads into the main restaurant. The interior was lovely with a large open kitchen in the centre, exposed brick and mirrored detailing throughout.

I have always very rarely eaten steak as I'm normally more of a fish kinda girl, but I do have steak every once in a while as a nice treat. Miller & Carter have 13 steaks on offer which you can choose from and how you would like it to be cooked. You get to choose a steak sauce and a dressed iceberg wedge. They automatically are served with parsley butter and a signature crispy onion loaf and fries or sweet potato fries. You definitely need to arrive hungry! Each steak is aged by 30 days and is hand cut by their expert butchers. They choose specific cattle breeds at the right age which ensures the muscles haven't been overworked and the meat is as tender as possible for the best flavour, texture, succulence and size.

To start we had the salt & pepper calamari with chipotle chilli mayonnaise to share. For main an 8oz Sirloin steak which has a delicate flavour balanced with a firmer texture which I had medium rare. The 8oz Fillet steak which is the most tender steak regarded by many and the premium cut - which was served medium. The steak's were delicious and came alongside with the perfect cracked peppercorn sauce, which is my favourite sauce to have with a steak. For dessert we shared the Chocolate roche which is a chocolate ball that resembles a forero roche, with a chocolate mousse inside and ice cream.

Miller and Carter have restaurants in most places, check out their website to locate the one closest to you!
I am also hosting a give away to win a £50 gift voucher to use at any Miller & Carter restaurant! Head over to my instagram @gabriellegracekeith and follow the steps to enter.
